Young physiologists

Physiology and Disease: Advances and Perspectives is a Young Physiologists’ Symposium, taking place from 28-29 June 2010. The symposium will be organised by postgraduate students from various groups within the Faculty of Life Sciences in conjunction with The Physiological Society.

Together with four scientific sessions, the symposium will include a two-hour lunch with posters in the historic Whitworth Hall, and a careers session focusing on communicating science.

As the conference will precede The Society’s Main Meeting, we expect it to attract a broad range of young physiologists from a variety of disciplines, including physiology, pharmacology, biochemistry, neuroscience and endocrinology. We anticipate approximately 100 delegates to be attending, ranging from undergraduate students to early-stage post-doctoral researchers.
